Get wonky and be a good citizen

Sorry for the last-minute notification, but I’m generally averse to government process type posts. But you might want to know that the city has completed its draft bike-pedestrian master plan and … HEY!!! WAKE UP!!!

I know, I know. But if you care about cycling around Eugene, it might be worth your time to check it out and comment. Eating your civic brussels sprouts I think I called it once before. Or your civic sleeping pill. (Oh, just kidding.) It’s got lots of maps and charts, so you don’t even have to read it all.

  • You can read about it in today’s R-G.
  • Or download the whole plan, and go curl up in bed with it.
  • Or you can go to the open house tonight to take a look and leave comments: Stop by anytime between 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today (Sept. 26) in the Bascom and Tykeson rooms of the downtown Eugene Public Library, 100 W. 10th Ave.
  • Or if you’d rather comment from the comfort of your computer, go here and leave comments online.
