It was a thrilling finish in the Tour de France today, wasn’t it? Evans and Contador sprinting up that hill to the line.

Well, the end of today’s stage in Le Tour de Milk Crate was no less a nail-biter. And we imagine Eugene Mayor Kitty Piercy must have been pleased as punch to watch the leader of Team Kitty fearlessly surge to the line on West Fifth Avenue.

It was a rousing victory for the team, with the finish, as it was, in the politically friendly territory of the Whiteaker neighborhood. Asked by a Fox News correspondent to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in honor of her terrific ride, our victorious competitor refused and went home.
